A life calendar represents time as a grid: each marker is one week or month, with past and future periods in different colors. Memento mori means “remember you must die”—a reminder to spend your time intentionally.
How do I make a life-in-weeks wallpaper?
Choose your birth date and target lifespan, then adjust the grid, colors, and space for your clock or widgets. Classic keeps one year per row and is the default; Fit to screen arranges markers into a near-square grid. Download Wallpaper saves an image from your browser.
Can my iPhone update the wallpaper automatically?
Install Scriptable and the Life Calendar Shortcut using the buttons above. Return here to configure your design, then choose Apply to iPhone. Preview and confirm on your phone, and enable the Shortcut’s schedule for automatic refreshes. Rendering runs locally on your iPhone.
Do automatic updates work offline?
Yes. Once installed and configured, the Shortcut renders your saved design on your iPhone without fetching a wallpaper from a server. Internet access is needed to install the apps and Shortcut, open this editor, or get a new Shortcut release. Scriptable is required for automatic updates; a manual browser download needs no iPhone app.
Is my birth date uploaded?
The preview and image download run locally in your browser. Your design is remembered in this browser’s local storage and included in the URL fragment when you share a design link, so anyone with that full link can see its settings. Apply to iPhone passes the design to your installed Shortcut.
